The Caribbean Industrial Research Institute (CARIRI) and QURE Ltd. have officially signed a two-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaboratively advance data-driven strategies that support the sustainable growth and innovation of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Trinidad and Tobago.
The partnership, formalized at CARIRI’s offices at the University of the West Indies St. Augustine Campus, sets the stage for a strategic initiative titled “Insights2Impact: Building Sustainable Small Businesses in Trinidad and Tobago.” The programme aims to equip SMEs with essential tools, skills, and access to data that enhances decision-making and fosters long-term business viability.
Under the MoU, CARIRI will contribute its technical expertise, entrepreneurial development support, and access to select training programs. QURE Ltd., a leader in social and market research, will focus on implementing the programme’s framework, expanding partner networks, and managing programme delivery through its innovative GrapeVine platform.

Key objectives of the collaboration include:
- Providing SMEs with training in data literacy and analysis.
- Developing a community-based data ecosystem via QURE’s GrapeVine platform.
- Offering technical support and advisory services through CARIRI’s innovation infrastructure.
- Promoting collaboration between public and private sector stakeholders.
