Hans-Erich Schulz

Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Hans-Erich Schulz has over twenty-five (25) years of senior management and project management experience in a range of industries including mining, manufacturing, transportation, technical services and sustainable development in both the public and private sector.

He has also managed climate change and environmental projects with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) including the Low Emission Capacity Building (LECB) Programme and Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) Support Programme for Trinidad and Tobago, as well as the formulation of the Persistent Organic Pollutants National Implementation Plan for Trinidad and Tobago.

Mr. Schulz holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) degree in Biochemistry and Master of Science (MSc.) degrees in Chemistry and Environmental Management, as well as an MBA in Marketing Management and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). He is currently the First Vice-President of the World Association of Industrial and Technological Research Organisations (WAITRO).

Meghnath Gosein

Executive Manager - Analytical Services

Meghnath Gosein, Executive Manager, Analytical Services: is a graduate of the Heriot-Watt University with a Masters in Business Administration (MBA).  He holds a Master of Science Degree in Agricultural Economics and Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture, both from the University of the West Indies.  He has extensive experience working with small and medium sized enterprises through his work at Republic Bank Limited, the Agricultural Development Bank and the Caribbean Industrial Research Institute.  He now heads the Business Services Unit at CARIRI.  He has also lectured (part-time) at the University of the West Indies and the University of Suriname in addition to facilitate several programmes in Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean. Meghnath brings to the fore over 25 years of experience assisting with the start-up of new businesses and expansion of existing operations.

Candace Solomon-Walkins

Executive Manager, Corporate Services / Corporate Secretary

An Attorney at Law and consultant, she holds a BSc in Government, a Post Graduate Diploma in International Relations, MSc degrees in Global Studies and Strategic Leadership and Management, a Bachelor of Law, and a Legal Education Certificate. With over 14 years of experience in strategic planning, negotiation, conflict management, monitoring and evaluation, tender management, clientele retention and business flow management. She has lectured to numerous SME entrepreneurs in the areas of Negotiation tips and techniques, Business plan Development and Executing a successful Business Pitch and has been integral in designing best practice strategic selling modules for local and regional senior sales professionals.

Sherland Sheppard

Executive Manager - Engineering Services

Sherland Sheppard, Executive Manager – Engineering Services is a Registered Engineer with over (ten) 10 years of executive leadership at a major public utility in Trinidad and Tobago; and twenty (20) years of management experience, covering disciplines in engineering, project management, and strategic management. Academically, Mr. Sheppard holds an MBA with Distinction and a Bachelor of Science in Power Technology. He is currently completing a Doctor of Business Administration and an MSc in Engineering Asset Management. Mr Sheppard also holds several competency qualifications in Construction Management; Project Management; Agile Management; Risk Management; Lean Six- Sigma; and Health, Safety, and Environment.   He has end-of-year aspirations of completing ISO 55000, and NABCEP PV Installer.

Denise Ferguson

Executive Manager, Entrepreneurship, Development & Innovation

Denise Ferguson, Executive Manager – Entrepreneurship Development & Innovation has over 30 years of experience in various disciplines such as accounts, human resources, health and safety, innovation, and entrepreneurship, and she is also an experienced trainer. She holds a BSc in Management from the University of London, a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from the University of the West Indies, and an MSc in Human Resource Management from the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business. Additionally, she is a lead auditor for ISO 9001, a senior lead auditor for ISO 45001, and a certified compensation and global remuneration professional, with certificates in occupational health and safety, industrial relations, counseling, project management, and innovation.

Joann Rodriguez-Nanton

Executive Manager - Human Resources

Joanne Rodriguez-Nanton, Executive Manager – Human Resources is a seasoned human resource professional with over eighteen years of experience in human resource management. She brings more than ten years of senior management experience across both private and public sectors, demonstrating her versatility and comprehensive understanding of diverse organizational environments. She holds a Master of Science degree in Human Resource Management, an Associate of Arts degree in Human Resource Management, and a Diploma in Co-operative Studies. Her educational background, combined with her extensive practical experience, equips her with a wealth of knowledge in all functional areas of Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations. Throughout her career, Joanne has been instrumental in developing and implementing strategic HR initiatives that drive organizational performance and employee engagement. Her expertise encompasses talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and compensation and benefits. She is also adept at navigating complex industrial relations landscapes, ensuring compliance with labor laws and fostering harmonious workplace environments. Joann’s commitment to excellence and her proactive approach to human resource management have made her a trusted leader and advisor in her field. She is dedicated to enhancing the employee experience and supporting the strategic goals of the organization through effective human resource practices. Joann Rodriguez-Nanton’s leadership in human resources continues to be a pivotal force in driving organizational success and fostering a positive, productive work environment.

Richard La Croix

Facilities Maintenance Manager

With over 25 years of local and regional work experience, in the areas of sport management, Information Technology, Printing, Business Development, and Facilities Maintenance. Richard holds a BSc in Economics and Management from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill, and an MBA from the University of Heriot-Watt. He is also a Certified Investment Advisor.

Cyristal Philip

Health, Safety, Security, Environment, Quality (HSSEQ) Manager

With over 10 years of local and regional experience, she is a professional in health, safety, sustainability, environment, and quality (HSSEQ). She has expertise in developing, implementing, and certifying HSE and Quality Management systems (ISO 9001:2015 and STOW-TT), as well as conducting legislative compliance audits and leading critical incident investigations. Holding an NVQ Level 6 in Health and Safety, an MBA, and a BA in Communications, she is also a certified senior investigator and lead auditor for ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 9001:2015.

Alicia Williams

Marketing Manager

Alicia Williams, Marketing Manager has over 15 years of marketing experience across finance, media, and government sectors. She holds an MSc in Management Studies with Marketing and a BSc in Management with Finance from the University of the West Indies, along with numerous professional certificates in Marketing, Event Management, Advertising, and Public Relations, as well as Digital Marketing. She has experience in developing marketing strategies, advertising plans, communication plans, and creating campaigns that impact the national community.
