The Caribbean Industrial Research Institute (CARIRI) has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with U.W.I. Credit Union, Aero Services Credit Union and Community Care Credit Union, marking a groundbreaking collaboration aimed at empowering credit union members to explore entrepreneurial opportunities, develop new business ventures and grow existing enterprises.

This strategic partnership underscores CARIRI’s commitment to fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and business growth within Trinidad and Tobago by leveraging its technical expertise and advanced facilities. By leveraging CARIRI’s expertise in technology and business development alongside the financial support and community outreach of the credit unions, this initiative is set to create a robust ecosystem for entrepreneurial success.

Present at the signing of the MOU were Mr. Hans-Erich Schulz, Chief Executive Officer, CARIRI; Mr. David Rocke, President, Community Care Credit Union; Marlon Caesar, President, UWI Credit Union and Mr. Lyndon Byer, Secretary of the Board of Directors, Aero Services Credit Union.
This partnership is designed to empower credit union members with the tools, knowledge and resources needed to unlock their entrepreneurial potential. CARIRI’s extensive portfolio of services, combined with the financial support and encouragement provided by the credit unions, will pave the way for a thriving ecosystem of innovative and sustainable businesses.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Chief Executive Officer of CARIRI, Mr. Hans-Erich Schulz remarked, “This MOU represents a bold step towards enabling local entrepreneurs and small businesses to thrive in a rapidly evolving economy.
