CARIRI and Microsoft Trinidad and Tobago are partnering to hold a series of events titled the “TekMania Code Rush Hackathon”. The event which starts on November 16th and will run into early 2014, is made up of a series of activities over various days.
The main development competition will be held in early 2014 on a yet to be announced date. Prizes will include cash, devices, software subscription licenses from Microsoft as well as mentorship hours from the CARIRI Business Incubator and Microsoft to assist in bringing your ideas to market.
The first day of activity is November 16th 2013. Called a ‘Build’ day, it would comprise of two (2) workshops facilitated by CARIRI:
- An Innovation Workshop- An Innovative thinking session and workshop designed to help developers to realize new ideas,solutions and applications.
- A Developer’s Bootcamp- Conducted by Microsoft Personnel, this would provide participants with the foundation to build on their ideas.
All of the events associated with the Hackathon are free to the public.
