Project Chief
Hayden Charles is the holder of an honours Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and a Master of Science degree in Geoinformatics, with distinction. Mr Charles has over 16 years experience in IT Systems Administration having served as the Webmaster and a Systems Analyst at the Caribbean Industrial Research Institute (CARIRI). He also has extensive training in Project Management and Quality Management Systems (he is a Certified Internal QMS Auditor).
Mr Charles was instrumental in the development of an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) ICT project titled “Improving the Performance of SMEs through the Application of ICT” for which he functioned as the Technical Coordinator. He is currently the Project Chief of this CARIRI Idea Advisory Service Project titled “Bridging the Gap to Commercial Application of Innovation”.

Sadira has worked with entrepreneurs to help them develop and understand their ideas. Prior to
joining CARIRI, her background is in the field of Chemistry. In addition, she has a Masters
Degree in International Business Administration. Her work experience has facilitated her
knowledge of a variety of businesses. At CARIRI, she is involved with the IAS, IGAP and
Business Hatchery teams. She has obtained training from the Danish Technological Institute in
analyzing ideas and licensing. She is also part of the team trained in idea generation strategies
for businesses.
Project Team Member
With the use of his experience and knowledge from industrial engineering, innovation and
project management, Lyndon enjoys bringing innovative projects to reality. Lyndon has
encountered various projects with solutions in manufacturing, health care, facilities, ICT and
energy efficiency. His talent for creating innovative solutions and synergies make projects come
to life. Lyndon works with the IAS, IGAP and Energy Audits team at CARIRI.

Karen’s pragmatic and analytical style is influenced by her years in the banking industry and her
engineering background. This helps her to consider ideas both from a business as well as a manufacturing point of view. Her project management skills are based on more than 10 years
experience of working with entrepreneurs to implement projects. Her unique combination of
skills and experience is leveraged in the IAS, IGAP and Technology Bay Units at CARIRI.
Further, she is also part of the Energy audit team. Karen has received training from the Danish
Technological Institute in analyzing ideas and licensing. She holds a Chemical Engineering
Degree and a Masters Degree in International Business Administration.

With a background in Agribusiness Management and Marketing,
Laura enjoys a hands-on approach in assisting innovators and entrepreneurs.
From small local farmers to larger conglomerates, Laura works to formulate and energize marketing strategies.
Whether it is through tweaking a brand’s positioning or innovating a marketing campaign through unique storytelling, she can truly get into the minds of customers.
With experience in Education, Banking, Retail and Distribution sectors,
Laura’s knowledge and experiences are utilized to develop SMEs in the IAS, IGAP and Business Hatchery programmes at CARIRI
