If you have been following the local news over the past few months, you would be aware of the accelerated efforts of the San Fernando City Corporation to inspect and enforce food safety requirements on restaurants and vendors operating in the San Fernando city areas. During this intensified period of action, over seventy food establishments, providing a wide range of popular dishes including roti, Chinese food and doubles, were ordered to close their doors and 'Clean up their act'.

It gives us great pleasure to let you, our loyal clients, readers and prospective entrepreneurs know that April 2013 marked the seven-year Anniversary of the Caribbean Food Safety Centre (CFSC).

During out seven-year tenure, we have worked with numerous food manufacturers, food service providers, food distributors, food regulatory bodies, consumers and school children, locally and regionally, all in an effort to promote food safety and by extension, aid in the development of our local food and Beverage Industry.
