The Petroleum and Energy Services Unit employs the latest technology that will ensure your products are accurately tested and evaluated.

  • Royalty evaluations of crude oils 
  • Providing Government and suppliers of natural gas with analyses that determine the value of this resource and the taxes that must be paid
  • Testing the chemicals used by the energy companies in the oilfields, under the Ministry of Energy and Energy Affairs' oilfield approval scheme 
  • Verifying gasoline and diesel fuel quality on behalf of the Government of Trinidad and Tobago and other stakeholders.

Accreditation

The management system of CARIRI has been assessed and certified by SGS as meeting the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 for the following activities:Consulting, industrial research and testing and equipment design and development. CARIRI has been certified by SGS to the ISO 9001 standard since January 1999.

The laboratories of CARIRI have demonstrated compliance with the ANSI/ISO/IEC 17025:2005 standard, General criteria for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories, and have been accredited by the International 

Accreditation Service Inc. for the test methods listed in the scope of accreditation at IASonline.org.

CARIRI's laboratories have had a history of international accreditation since 1997.
