CARIRI's Analytical Chemistry and Microbiology Unit assists food manufacturers to break into new export markets, enables small entrepreneurs to get their products into reputable supermarkets, determines if drinking and recreational water is safe and helps responsible companies comply with effluent standards. We can also tell manufacturers of pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and industrial chemicals if their products meet their required specifications and aid them in ensuring the correct percentage of the active ingredients in their formulations.
Our services include nutritional label testing, pharmaceutical analyses, potable water testing, environmental monitoring of waste water, and toxicity characteristics of soil and liquid wastes.

Our test methods are based on validated international procedures and our laboratory is accredited for ISO-9001:2008 and participates in inter-laboratory testing programmes organized by independent organizations. Additionally, several of our test methods are ISO 17025 compliant and members of staff are continually trained in the latest test procedures.
The management system of CARIRI has been assessed and certified by SGS as meeting the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 for the following activities:Consulting, industrial research and testing and equipment design and development. CARIRI has been certified by SGS to the ISO 9001 standard since January 1999.
The laboratories of CARIRI have demonstrated compliance with the ANSI/ISO/IEC 17025:2005 standard, General criteria for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories, and have been accredited by the International
Accreditation Service Inc. for the test methods listed in the scope of accreditation at IASonline.org.
CARIRI's laboratories have had a history of international accreditation since 1997.
