In our well-equipped, Petroleum and Energy-based laboratories, there resides equipment on which the Government of Trinidad and Tobago and all major gas producers and gas users in Trinidad rely.

It is the Gas Chromatograph, used for the analysis of natural gas.

CARIRI is trusted by the Government of Trinidad and Tobago, the National Gas Company, producers such as bpTT, British Gas, and EOG, and gas users such as Atlantic LNG and all the country’s methanol and ammonia producers – for an independent analysis of natural gas samples to determine their calorific value. This information is of great significance to these companies since the gas is bought and sold based on its calorific or heating value.

CARIRI is the only company specifically identified by the National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago (NGC) in its contracts from which it will accept an independent evaluation of gas.

To ensure there is no disruption to our quick and reliable service, CARIRI has two gas chromatographs, representing an investment of some US$250,000.
