Emissions from stacks or chimneys can tell an important tale. They can tell a company how efficiently it is using fuel in its operations, the effectiveness of control equipment, whether it is complying with environmental standards, and whether it is causing any harm to people or the environment.
They can also indicate if a plant is incurring additional costs because equipment such as boilers and heaters are using fuel inefficiently or because products or byproducts are being lost via emissions.
The US EPA-approved Manual Sampling Train is an instrument that withdraws a sample of gases through a probe inserted into the stack. Many parameters such as the stack air velocity and pressure have to be considered before withdrawing a sample and our experienced technicians are trained in proper, EPA-approved, sampling methods.
In observance of EPA guidelines, we calibrate the Manual Sampling Train before and after every job and use only original manufacturer’s parts.
